Weekly Classes

Art & Ceramics: Grades 4-7
Monday, 4-5:30pm

Learn basic techniques in a variety of medium. We will draw, paint, print, collage, and/or hand build with clay. Demos, critiques and one-on-one guidance will be part of every class. All ceramics will be kiln fired).

Fine Art/Adult Open Studio
Wednesday, 4-5:30pm

Come enjoy some creative time for yourself. This is a beginner/intermediate class. We will focus on technique, perspective, shading, and color mixing. Students will work in pencil, charcoal, pastel, collage, and/or acrylic paint. Everyone will move at their own pace and receive critiques in one-on-one guidance as needed.

Ceramics: Hand Building/Open Studio: Adult
Tuesday, 4-6pm

This class is for students with previous experience. Students will design and work on their projects independently. One on one instruction and group critiques will be available. Material and firing fees are additional.

Saturday Workshops

Fun 3-day and 1-day workshops! Learn professional skills in a relaxing environment and create one of a kind creations. All levels are welcome. Class size is small so everyone gets lots of attention.

Silk Painting: Scarves
Saturday, 10am-noon
Feb 8, 15, 22

Create beautiful hand painted silk scarves! Explore hand-drawn line resist, over-dye, and color blending. Learn about color mixing and good design techniques. Choose from dozens of vibrant dye colors. Scarves will be steam set.

Screen Printing on Paper
Grades 5-Adult
Saturday, Mar 7, 10am-1pm

Screen printing allows you to create one detailed image and print it multiple times. Using your own design, you will cut the image out of contact paper and adhere it to the screen. With a squeegee and colorful inks, you will print onto paper. It's lots of fun! Choose one to frame and save the rest.

Reduction Printing
Grades 5-Adult
Saturday, March 21, 10am-12:30pm

Make beautiful printed papers with this easy technique. You will start with a simple hand drawn design on scratch foam, and print it several times. Continue to add more detail to the design and over print the first prints. The result is a multi colored print - full of detail and ready for framing.

Ladies Night Workshops

Enjoy a fun and relaxing Ladies Night workshop! Perfect for beginners, but all levels are welcome. Learn new skills to design and create a unique piece of art. No cookie cutter projects here! Class size is small (4-10 students). Everyone is welcome to bring a snack to share. 


Notan: Paper Cutting
Wednesday, March 4, 6:30-8:30pm

Notan is a Japanese term to express light-dark as an element of design. We will draw and cut shapes from the dark-colored paper, arrange the pieces accordingly (its easier then it sounds), then glue them to the light colored paper. The final result is pleasing work of art, framed and ready to hang on your wall.

Block Printing
Wednesday, April1, 6:30-9pm

A fun paper printing technique. You will design and carve your own soft block (it’s much easier than lino), then stamp on paper with colorful inks. Choose your favorite and it will be framed. The rest can be made into cards.

Mono-printing: Gelatin Plate Prints

Make beautiful monoprints without a printing press! Using a slab of gelatin, colorful inks, brayers, and tons of everyday textured tools, we will create lovely images on paper. The process is fun and super easy.

Silk Painting: Scarf
Dates/times to be announced

A hand painted silk scarf makes the perfect gift! We will stretch white silk scarves on frames, then dye and over-dye using beautiful colors and sumo brushes. Salt, water and blending will add wonderful effects.

Reduction Printing

A fun and easy printing technique! Using scratch foam, we will start with a simple hand drawn design, then print it.  We will continue to add more detail to the design, and print again and again with a new color after each addition. The result is a multi colored print - full of depth and detail, ready for framing.

Ceramic: Slab Mug

In the first session, learn a simple coil and stamp technique to build your mug. During the second session, choose from a variety of attractive colors and glazing styles to finish your piece.

Painted/Printed Ceramic Trays
Dates/times to be announced

In this one night workshop, you will decorate a sheet of clay with colorful underglazes using stamps, brushes, your own cut stencils and texturing tools to make a set of beautiful small press molded trays that can be used for everything!
